Michael Farkas enters his inaugural season as the Head Coach of the New York University men’s ice hockey team in 2021-22. Previously, Farkas helped return the University of Pennsylvania program to ACHA D2 prominence over the previous five seasons – helping them to a 49-17-4 record over his final three seasons there. He has also won a national championship in the professional roller hockey circuit.
Farkas started his coaching career at his alma mater – Rutgers University, where he graduated with a degree in Journalism and Media Studies. Farkas has been a level 4 USA Hockey certified coach for several years and scouts NHL prospects for a leading independent scouting service. Farkas resides in New York City.

Owen Roche is entering his first season as an assistant coach for the NYU hockey team while attending the university as a graduate student pursuing a master’s degree in sports business. Roche is coming off of four seasons as a goaltender for Texas Christian University at the ACHA DII level, where he served as club president and a team captain for three seasons, graduating with a degree in sports broadcasting. Roche previously played hockey at the AA and AAA levels in the Seattle area, helping his team reach the USA Hockey National Tournament in 2016 and 2017.
Most recently, Roche spent time working for the Dallas Stars as a goaltending coach for the Dallas Stars Metro Hockey League. He also assisted in the operation of youth hockey development programs for the Stars, working with skaters from ages 5-18. Prior to his work with the Stars youth programs, Roche served as a coach for youth hockey throughout Washington. He currently resides in New York City by way of Snoqualmie, Washington.

Elizabeth Miller is entering her 25th season as General Manager of the Violets. During her tenure, the Violets have made 9 ACHA National Championship Tournament Appearances, winning the National Championship Title in 2015 & 2017 and National Runner-Up in 2004. During that time, the Violets also won the Super East Collegiate Hockey League (SECHL) Championship in 2004, 2015 & 2017. As GM, Miller was named ACHA D2 Tournament Director for the 2002 Tournament (hosted by NYU) and the 2006 Tournament (hosted by the SECHL). In her role as GM, Miller serves as the NYU Hockey Webmaster & Statistician, along with serving as the SECHL Statistician & Webmaster (2005-2017).
Miller is 1996 graduate of the New York University Gallatin School of Individualized Study. During her undergraduate career, Miller was named a Sokol Scholar in Chemistry and twice received the NYU Presidential Service Award for her volunteerism and community service in her role as an ice hockey team manager from 1992-96.
Born in Michigan, Miller grew up all over the southeast, graduating with honors from the SC Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics. She currently works for NYU as the Assistant to the Director of Athletics and resides in Brooklyn, NY.
