Dustin Good enters his second season as the head coach of the New York University Men’s Hockey team in 2024-25. In his first season at the university, he helped guide the program to its best winning percentage since the team’s first season at ACHA Division 1 in 2017-2018. Most recently, before NYU, Good helped return the program at his high school alma mater, Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School (in Pennsylvania), to prominence amongst the New England, Mid-Atlantic, and Canadian boarding schools circuit over the course of three seasons, while also serving as a director of admission at the school.

Good started his coaching career with the Binghamton Jr. Senators youth and junior programs before moving on to coach junior and high school in New Jersey with the Jersey Wildcats and Montclair Kimberley Academy, respectively. Following his time in New Jersey, Good coached at the Tilton School in New Hampshire. Good is a level 4 USA Hockey certified coach. He has been teaching and coaching for over 15 years and currently works as a high school history teacher at an independent school in Manhattan.

Corey Nadell enters his second season as an assistant coach for the New York University Men’s Hockey team in 2024-25. He played goaltender for the George Washington University Men’s Hockey team from 2014-2019, where he served as team President and Treasurer and helped the club win its first Admiral’s Cup in 2016 as champions of the Atlantic Coast Collegiate Hockey League in Division 2 of the American Collegiate Hockey Association. He graduated from GW with a Master of Accountancy after earning his Bachelor of Accountancy and Minor in Economics.

Nadell grew up in New Jersey, where he was an assistant captain for Millburn High School and played travel hockey for the New Jersey Devils Youth Hockey Club. In addition to playing ice hockey, he was a Level 3 ice hockey official from 2011-2015. Nadell is a level 4 USA Hockey certified coach. He is also certified public accountant, working in finance at a private investment firm in Manhattan, where he also lives.

 

Brian Zaffino ’23 – Assistant Coach – bz1099@nyu.edu

New York University ’23

Brian Zaffino enters his second season as an assistant coach for the New York University Men’s Hockey team in 2024-25. He played for the Violets from 2019-2023, anchoring the defense and graduating with a degree in English and American Literature. Before NYU, Zaffino earned CHSCA All-State honors while playing for Darien High School (CT) and captained the Connecticut Roughriders of the EHL.

Zaffino is a level 3 USA Hockey certified coach. He comes from a robust hockey background through the mentorship of renowned skating coach Steven Brown and experience assisting goaltending coaches at Clear Sight Development. . He began his career working in investment banking, in addition to being a bestselling author in 2023, and now works as a writer in both film and traditional literature in Manhattan.
